I am grateful you are here and support you in your efforts to connect and take a step towards change.

I am a therapist because I believe in the human experience. I honor the opportunity to companion others as they grow and become more connected and authentic versions of themselves.

My approach to therapy is both eclectic and collaborative. Each person has a unique set of circumstances and a story that is intricately woven together by experiences.  I use therapy as a tool to guide individuals to a place of self-compassion by focusing on strengths and use a variety of techniques to assist in identifying, understanding and shifting barriers that may be impeding a life that reflects peace, purpose and is expressive of who you really are.

I truly believe, meaningful work rests in the relationship between the client and the therapist.

I am an LCSW, MSW in the states of Hawaii, Colorado and Virginia, specializing in trauma, depression and anxiety, self-esteem, self-identity, domestic and sexual violence, grief, post trauma growth, spirituality and addiction.

I began my career working with at risk-youth in rural Tennessee providing intensive in-home therapeutic services. I continued my professional experience in Washington, DC area at The Women’s Center, where I served as a therapist and court advocate. The Women’s Center was a co-founder and member of the Fairfax County Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC), The Center counsels and advocates for hundreds of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault each year. During my time in Colorado, I opened a private practice.  I became trained in EMDR under the guidance of Dr. Chandra. Additionally, I completed training in the work of addiction and recovery to become a LAC and completed 200 hour yoga certification.

I am strong believer, that a healer can only guide people as far as they are willing to go themselves. I have and continue to be an active participant in my own work.

A Bit About Therapy

Guiding You On the Path of Self-Healing

Therapy provides a safe place of connection, education and encouragement that allows for an organic process of growth and healing.

The human experience is full of ebbs and flows and we were not meant to do this alone. As we connect and collaborate, we will create a collective current-a stronger current. We begin to create a current of empowerment, authenticity and purpose.

Sometimes in life we are broken to rebuild. Therapy is an invitation for recovery. We are all recovering from different things in our lives. It's a space to come back "home." It slows things down and we have the opportunity to become curious about what barriers exist.

It's important to understand the root of our pain and our shame, to understand what drove us outside of ourselves in the first place. Sometimes it's different than the narratives we have held onto.

I believe in creating a life you don't want to escape from using a holistic perspective that involves looking at internal conflicts, disempowerment, disconnection and core beliefs that may be rooted from trauma.

Through the use of various psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment approaches, you have the opportunity to shed past conditioning and reconnect with you!
