Meet Ana

Taking the time and making the effort to know yourself is a courageous act. As a therapist at Collective Current, I am honored to collaborate with you on a journey toward greater self-awareness and self-compassion. I am a pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. This therapeutic modality explores the dynamics of your family of origin and how they shape your personal narrative and current experiences. My approach is humanistic trauma-informed, and evidence-based. I integrate narrative and solution-focused therapies to offer a culturally sensitive framework—one that validates your lived experience while identifying the stories that may be holding you back, as well as the strengths and resources you already possess to move forward.

I use a holistic approach that recognizes the profound connection between the mind and body, supported by insights from neuroscience and health psychology. Mindfulness practices are an essential part of my work, as they have been shown to help alleviate a range of symptoms and support overall mental well-being.

In my clinical experience, I’ve supported clients facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, chronic pain, relationship issues, grief, and adjustment challenges. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and offer therapy sessions to individuals and couples in both English and Portuguese..
